FYRU is proposing to move all matches U9 to U15 matches to a standard Sunday time slots rather than the traditional Saturday times. This is for a number reasons which they believe will ultimately outweigh some of the negatives of moving to Sundays.

Referees - More ability of referees because of shortage of referees the Youth game is often left very short ultimately creates some very negative experiences for both players & parents. The FRRA has stated that moving to sunday would significantly help them be able to provide more referees.

Volunteers - More volunteers will be available to help as High School, Adult & College players all will have played Saturday and could be trained to be referees and/or coaches. FYRU would push to develop these connections particularly in the College teams to be linked up with local youth teams.
